Optical Coherence Tomography in peripheral intervention.

OCT (optical coherent tomography) is an useful tool for coronary intervention with high resolution. It provided a high quality image of the coronary artery disease ten times more than IVUS (intravascular ultrasound). In this case, we used the OCT for the obstruction of superficial femoral artery to evaluate the lesion characteristics during PTA (percutaneous transluminal angioplasty).
